The media have seized upon Prof. Hillel Weiss as the latest political punching bag, and as a new excuse to avoid the central issue in the latest Hevron outrage. This is, once again,
* The use of the nation's security forces in a vile political maneuver, the expulsion of Jewish families from their homes, Jewish property in the City of the Forefathers.
Over and over, the Jews are called "squatters" while in fact they have been living in the homes with the permission of the owners, none other than the descendants of the original owners, martyrs of the Arab pogrom of 1929.
* PSI protests once more against the political bias of the Israeli media and against the slant in every news story.
* We condemn the unholy hue and cry - even threats of boycott - raised against Bar-Ilan University because of words spoken by a member of its faculty outside the campus and with no relation to any professional activity.

For the past 3 weeks, Homesh has been populated by Jews, mostly young people of course. Meals get cooked on an outdoors fire. A Sefer Torah is at the site. There is guard duty, both for security reasons and to warn the Jews living at Homesh of any return of police forces which will destroy everything that has been set up at which point one simply sets everything up all over again.
Volunteers are needed to "move in" (with your sleeping bag) for a day or many days -- however much time you have. Homesh is accessible via Shavei Shomron, from which you will join the local people in getting to Homesh.
Arrive at Shavei Shomron by car, or take Egged Bus No. 73 from Netanya (this is a good bus, fairly frequent, taking about 1 hour)
